KLENG chef's knife

The KLENG chef's knife is perfect for every job in your kitchen. The kitchen knife, made with a lot of love, is extremely sharp and ideal for cutting, chopping and snipping. Thanks to the optimized blade shape, you can now cut particularly quickly. Due to the minimal cradle shape with the apex just before the end of the cutting edge, it feels as if the knife is springing in your hand and cutting as if by itself.

The KLENG Chef knife is made in small quantities in the Solingen manufactory with the greatest dedication. The craftsmanship can be seen, for example, in the matt-polished blade surface. The so-called "Blauplisten" was invented here in Solingen and makes the knives particularly durable.

There are many sharp knives, but few remain so. This is partly due to the type of steel that is used. If the steel is too hard, it becomes brittle or gets nicks. If it's too soft, it quickly becomes dull. The traditional Solingen blade steel offers a good balance and is therefore so famous.

The KLENG company only uses fiber bamboo for its grips and blocks. Bamboo was already used in ancient China to weave baskets, boxes, mats and curtains from the bamboo fiber. Weaving gives the bamboo extra strength. This principle can also be found in the handles of the KLENG chef's knife. First, the bamboo is divided into small fibers and then compressed under high pressure to achieve its particularly high density and strength. The density even surpasses luxurious tropical woods - without having to fell a single tree. Bamboo is the fastest growing plant in the world and can therefore store a particularly large amount of CO2.

Self-sharpening knife block

The KLENG knife block always keeps the KLENG chef's knife sharp. With the integrated sharpening inserts, your knife is automatically and perfectly prepared for the next use after each use. So your knife is always perfectly sharp. Just awesome!

Short portrait – KLENG

In the city of blades, Solingen, there is a centuries-old knife tradition. The best knives in the world are made here. That's true “Made in Solingen” still today as the highest quality feature for knives.

The young Solingen company KLENG is always looking for something special. For valuable and sustainable materials, for sharp details and easy handling. According to traditional craftsmanship and innovative technology. "Everything we do, we do with passion" - says the owner Robin Reuschel. Therefore, the Kleng company produces small quantities locally in Solingen - instead of large ones in the Far East. All work is carefully crafted. From milling the handle to honing the blade. So you always hold an absolutely unique piece in your hands. And with every work step, this still young Solingen company comes a little closer to its goal: to manufacture a knife that inspires generations.

KLENG stands for the symbiosis of traditional craftsmanship, sustainability and innovative technologies.

By the way, KLENG [𝗸𝗹ɛ𝗻ˈɡ] stands for the word blade in the Solingen dialect.
