Description
Otter little gardener hip
This knife is a small garden and tree nursery stick with a blade that is sharpened on one side. It works well for cutting smaller trees and shrubs.
The blade is made of particularly wear-resistant carbon steel. The pleating (fine grinding) and the subsequent careful honing give it a very fine edge. The handle made of sturdy sapelli wood lies securely in the hand when gardening.
OTTER – Hot quality from Solingen since 1840
The Otter company was founded around 1840 in a small Kotten - a traditional water-powered grinding shop - at the Königsmühle in Solingen.
Their name comes from the fish otters who lived on the banks of streams and rivers in the Bergisches Land at that time. These adorn the products as the company's logo. The pocket knives and knives with fixed blades are made in the traditional way in Solingen. Even today, the pocket and fixed knives are carefully handcrafted and sharpened. The range consists of knives for leisure, household, garden and hunting. Mostly equipped with carbon blades, these have an excellent edge retention and are evidence of robust quality - Made in Solingen / Germany.
Roland -
The knife is very robust and very sharp. The packaging and information about the knife make a very professional impression. Before, I had rather cheap stainless steel hips that became more and more wobbly after a relatively short time and also quickly lost their sharpness.
