Otter Mercator brass 

The Otter Mercator brass is a traditional German pocket knife. Otter gave this model a new look with the brass handle. The proven, slim handle and the classic blade shape have not been changed. The elegant look is completed by the OTTER embossed on the handle.

With the blade made of either carbon steel or stainless steel, it is a great utility knife, it stays sharp for a long time and can be easily re-sharpened.

This knife is the large, lockable shape of the Mercator.

OTTER – Hot quality from Solingen since 1840

The Otter company was founded around 1840 in a small Kotten - a traditional water-powered grinding shop - at the Königsmühle in Solingen. Their name comes from the fish otters who lived on the banks of streams and rivers in the Bergisches Land at that time. These adorn the products as the company's logo. The pocket knives and knives with fixed blades are made in the traditional way in Solingen. Even today, the pocket and fixed knives are carefully handcrafted and sharpened. The range consists of knives for leisure, household, garden and hunting. Mostly equipped with carbon blades, these have an excellent edge retention and are evidence of robust quality - Made in Solingen / Germany.
