Description
Otter Mercator copper damask
Copper and damask - this knife not only makes collectors' hearts beat faster. The Otter company has reissued the Mercator in its historical form. Instead of the classic black steel case, the handle is now made of copper. The Damascus steel blade makes the pocket knife a real eye-catcher. The noble look is completed by the embossed OTTER. Despite the elegant appearance, this Mercator knife also has the usual qualities: it is slim, functional and reliable.
The Mercator knife with copper and damask is the same size as the classic, large Mercator and can also be locked. The delivery includes the leather strap with copper eyelet.
OTTER – Hot quality from Solingen since 1840
The Otter company was founded around 1840 in a small Kotten - a traditional water-powered grinding shop - at the Königsmühle in Solingen. Their name comes from the fish otters who lived on the banks of streams and rivers in the Bergisches Land at that time. These adorn the products as the company's logo. The pocket knives and knives with fixed blades are made in the traditional way in Solingen. Even today, the pocket and fixed knives are carefully handcrafted and sharpened. The range consists of knives for leisure, household, garden and hunting. Mostly equipped with carbon blades, these have an excellent edge retention and are evidence of robust quality - Made in Solingen / Germany.
