500 year old olive wood meets Solingen blacksmithing - the Güde Alpha Olive steak cutlery
The handmade steak cutlery comes from the Güde Alpha Olive knife series. The combination of fine olive wood and traditional blacksmithing make this steak knife unique. The wood of the handle comes from selected olive trees that are up to 100 to 500 years old.
Güde steak knife:
The Güde Alpha Olive Steak Cutlery consists of the Güde Alpha Olive Steak Knife X313 / 12 and the Güde Alpha Olive Steak Fork X013 / 09. The Güde steak knife is equipped with a sharp saw blade and glides through the steak with precise cuts. Thanks to the extremely sharp blade, the juice stays in the meat. Once you've cut your steak with a good steak knife, you won't want to be without it. The hand-forged blade made of chrome-vanadium-molybdenum knife steel is made from one piece, ice-hardened rust-free and hand-sharpened. This knife from Güde has a blade hardness of 56 HRC.
Accordingly, a simple regrinding is possible without the material suffering as a result. The mixture of chrome-vanadium-molybdenum is also mainly used by Güde for the production of high-quality knives. This means that the blade has an optimal level of corrosion resistance, i.e. it is rust-free. The blade steel is finally ice-hardened after processing. As a result, the knife remains as sharp as when used for the first time, even after repeated use.
Güde Alpha Olive Series:
The Güde Alpha Olive series is classic Solingen craft in a timelessly simple design, high-quality workmanship and extremely functional. The blades - made of rustproof Thyssen CMV steel - are drop forged, ice-hardened and sharpened by hand. The handle scales made of olive wood are riveted three times and give each Güde Alpha Olive chef's knife an individual and timeless look. The handle scales of the Güde Alpha Olive series are made from 100 to 500 years old, selected olive wood. This makes them very hard and robust. This series is a perfect combination of historical wood and traditional blacksmithing.
