The handmade Santoku knife comes from the Güde Alpha Walnut knife series. The combination of the beautifully grained wood and the traditional blacksmithing make this Santoku knife unique. The wood of the handle comes from walnut wood, which is very hard, firm and very popular due to its pronounced grain. The Santoku knife is made by the Solingen knife manufacturer Güde according to traditional craftsmanship.
The Japanese among the Solingen knives. The term “Santoku” comes from Japanese and stands for the typical Japanese blade shape. The Güde Santoku knife from the Alpha Walnut series is perfect for fine and precise cutting work in the kitchen. The 18 cm long blade easily portioned meat, fish and vegetables. The hollow cut prevents thin and soft discs from sticking. The hand-forged blade made of chrome-vanadium-molybdenum knife steel is made from one piece, ice-hardened and hand-sharpened.
Güde Alpha Walnut Series:
The knife blades from the walnut series are hand-forged and consist of a piece of chrome-vanadium-molybdenum knife steel. The knives are further processed in over 40 manual operations. The handle scales are made of walnut wood, which is very hard, firm and very popular due to its pronounced grain. The blade is rust-free, ice-hardened and hand-sharpened - the handle is not dishwasher-safe.
